Take a step back in time with our spectacular example of early Canadiana architecture and suites reminiscent of Victorian splendor. Built in 1889, by the Government of Canada, the building housed the original Post Office, Custom House and Inland Revenue for the area.. The architect, Thomas Fuller, was the chief architect for the design and construction of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. Guests are welcomed to tour the tower and take pictures of the original clock mechanism which is in pristine condition. Inside, the Inn offers eight luxuriously appointed suites, each with their own fireplace, uniquely decorated and furnished to extend a soft, gracious atmosphere for our guests. Each suite is an experience in itself with the ultimate in comfort and first class amenities. While the building itself is rich in history, we have created the perfect combination of historic elegance and modern day conveniences such as our claw foot tubs, heated floors and fireplaces. Our Queen Victoria Suite and King Edward Suite feature spa showers in “The Vaults” complete with original steel doors! We will do our utmost to ensure that our guests enjoy the best that the Clock Tower Inn and the town of Strathroy have to offer. Enjoy the complete Spa Experience from Mind, Body and Soul located minutes from the Inn. There are wonderful places for shopping, bicycling, exploring, a walk in the park or a picnic at a nearby beach. Or, spend the evening enjoying a fireside, candle-lit dinner at Copperfield’s Bistro and Pub. It is our goal that you will be pleased to make the Clock Tower Inn your destination for romance, relaxation or your next corporate retreat. We are located just 20 minutes west of London, Ontario and a comfortable 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Toronto, Buffalo and Detroit. We look forward to welcoming you.
